ABOUT US

INTRODUCTION

Institute for Regional and Urban Studies (IRUS), a member of Ho Chi Minh City Union of Science and Technology Associations, is a non-governmental organization based in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. IRUS aims to promote sustainable development for Vietnam which is based on sustainable regional and urban planning, sustainable energy development, sustainable transportation, environment governance, climate change resilience and communication.

MISSION

IRUS works as a think tank, a social reviewer for Ho Chi Minh city and Viet Nam in regional and urban development towards sustainable development goals; finding out appropriate solutions for sustainability, resilience, economic, social and environmental issues generated during the development of different regions and cities of Viet Nam and introducing green, eco-friendly, smart initiatives, technologies and products for Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam.

VISION

IRUS looks for deep and extensive cooperation with government, academia, media, businesses and community joining hands to promote sustainable urban development, towards sustainable urbanization to make Ho Chi Minh City and other cities of Vietnam livable cities.
